THE MISSION OF THE WILLAPA BAY FISHERIES ENHANCEMENT GROUP IS TO ENHANCE AND RESTORE SALMON IN THE WILLAPA BAY WATERSHED (WRIA-24). THIS INVOLVES WORKING WITH ALL PARAMETERS, WHICH DIRECTLY AFFECT SALMON IN THE WILLAPA BAY WATERSHED. KEY TO THE ACCOMPLISHMENT OF OUR MISSIONS IS THE INVOLVEMENT OF LOCAL CITIZENS AND LOCAL LANDOWNERS IN THE DEVELOPMENT OF PROJECTS THAT ARE BENEFICIAL TO SALMON AND COST EFFECTIVE. OUR MISSION IS ALSO TO WORK WITH LOCAL COMMUNITIES TO ASSIST IN PROJECTS THAT PROMOTE COMMUNITY AWARENESS OF THE ENVIRONMENT AND WILL ASSIST CITIZENS' ENJOYMENT OF THE NATURAL BEAUTY IN THE WILLAPA BAY, AND PROMOTE THE PROTECTION AND ENHANCEMENT OF WILLAPA BAY.

DURING THE CURRENT YEAR THE WILLAPA BAY FISHERIES ENHANCEMENT GROUP WORKED ON STREAM RESTORATION AND SALMON ENHANCEMENT. THIS INVOLVED WORKING WITH ALL PARAMETERS, WHICH DIRECTLY AFFECT SALMON. KEY TO THE ACCOMPLISHMENT OF THE ORGANIZATION WAS THE INVOLVEMENT OF LOCAL CITIZENS AND LOCAL LANDOWNERS IN THE DEVELOPMENT OF PROJECTS THAT ARE BENEFICIAL TO SALMON AND COST EFFECTIVE. THE GROUP ALSO WORKED WITH THE LOCAL COMMUNITIES TO ASSIST IN PROJECTS THAT PROMOTED COMMUNITY AWARENESS OF THE ENVIRONMENT AND PROMOTED THE PROTECTION AND ENHANCEMENT OF SALMON.
