DURING THE CURRENT YEAR THE WILLAPA BAY FISHERIES ENHANCEMENT GROUP WORKED ON STREAM RESTORATION AND SALMON ENHANCEMENT. THIS INVOLVED WORKING WITH ALL PARAMETERS, WHICH DIRECTLY AFFECT SALMON. KEY TO THE ACCOMPLISHMENT OF THE ORGANIZATION WAS THE INVOLVEMENT OF LOCAL CITIZENS AND LOCAL LANDOWNERS IN THE DEVELOPMENT OF PROJECTS THAT ARE BENEFICIAL TO SALMON AND COST EFFECTIVE. THE GROUP ALSO WORKED WITH THE LOCAL COMMUNITIES TO ASSIST IN PROJECTS THAT PROMOTED COMMUNITY AWARENESS OF THE ENVIRONMENT AND PROMOTED THE PROTECTION AND ENHANCEMENT OF SALMON.
