SERENITY HOUSE OF CLALLAM COUNTY IS A COMMUNITY BASED ORGANIZATION DEDICATED TO PROVIDING SHELTER AND SERVICES TO HOMELESS INDIVIDUALS AND FAMILIES. THE ORGANIZATION'S MISSION IS TO END HOMELESSNESS IN OUR COMMUNITY.

EMERGENCY SERVICES SINGLE ADULT SHELTER (SAS), STREET OUTREACH SHELTER (SOS), FAMILY SHELTER SERVICES (FSS) AND HOUSING RESOURCE CENTERS (HRCS) SAS IS A 24/7 (ALWAYS OPEN) EMERGENCY SHELTER WITH MEALS AND CASE MANAGEMENT FOR ADULT WOMEN AND MEN. SOS OPENS NIGHTLY FROM 9 PM TO 6:30 AM TO PROVIDE A SAFE PLACE TO SLEEP FOR PERSONS 18 AND OLDER. HRCS IN PORT ANGELES, SEQUIM AND FORKS ARE THE COORDINATED ENTRY POINTS FOR HOUSING PROGRAMS, REFERRALS AND EMERGENCY ASSISTANCE TO PREVENT HOMELESSNESS. FSS MAINTAINS TWO SMALL APARTMENTS IN PORT ANGELES WHERE FAMILIES WITH MINOR CHILDREN MAY STAY, USUALLY FOR UP TO 45 DAYS, WHILE INTENSIVELY WORKING TO OBTAIN PERMANENT HOUSING.
STABILIZATION SERVICES EVERGREEN FAMILY VILLAGE (EFV), SERENITY COURT (SC), YOUTH DEPARTMENT, CHRONICALLY HOMELESS AND SUBCONTRACT SERVICES EFV PROVIDES UP TO TWO YEARS OF HOUSING WITH SUPPORTIVE SERVICES FOR FAMILIES WITH CHILDREN TRANSITIONING FROM HOMELESSNESS INTO PERMANENT, STABLE HOUSING. SC IS A SIMILAR PROGRAM FOR SINGLES AND SMALL FAMILIES. HOUSING FIRST PROGRAMS, INCLUDING TENANT BASED RENTAL ASSISTANCE, ONE FAMILY ONE HOME, TRANSITIONS TO HOUSING AND CORNERSTONE, HELP FORMERLY HOMELESS FAMILIES WITH CHILDREN WITH RENT AND SUPPORTIVE SERVICES TO HELP THEM TRANSITION INTO PERMANENT STABLE HOUSING. PERMANENT SUPPORTIVE HOUSING AT MALONEY HEIGHTS APARTMENTS IN PORT ANGELES SERVES CHRONICALLY HOMELESS ADULTS.
SERENITY HOUSE THRIFT STORE IN SEQUIM ACCEPTS DONATIONS AND OFFER AFFORDABLE, QUALITY GOODS TO THE COMMUNITY, EVERY DAY OF THE WEEK. THE REVENUE THEY GENERATE CONTRIBUTES SUBSTANTIALLY TO SUPPORTING SERENITY HOUSES SERVICE PROGRAMS.
