OUR MISSION IS TO CREATE EXPERIENCES OF CONNECTEDNESS, LEARNING, AND JOY THROUGH THE LANGUAGE OF ACOUSTIC MUSIC. OUR PRIMARY EXEMPT PURPOSE IS TO PRESERVE THE HISTORY AND EDUCATE THE PUBLIC ON EARLY AMERICAN SWING MUSIC AND CREATE AN INCLUSIVE PERFORMANCE EXPERIENCE FOR UNDERREPRESENTED COMMUNITIES.

TAUGHT 3 WORKSHOPS IN PERSON AT 2 LOCAL UNIVERSITIES, HOSTED AN ONLINE WORKSHOP OPEN TO THE PUBLIC, STARTED A MUSIC COLLECTIVE CALLED "THE SWING COLLECTIVE- AND "TRASH MOON COLLECTIVE" AIMED TO CREATE OPPORTUNITIES FOR THE PUBLIC TO PARTICIPATE IN PLAYING SWING AND OLD-TIME MUSIC, AND SENT MUSICIANS TO 21 ELEMENTARY SCHOOLS TO PERFORM IN PARTNERSHIP WITH ARTS INC.
PROVIDED OVER 150 PERFORMANCE OPPORTUNITIES FOR 103 MUSICIANS AND AIMED TO PROVIDE MORE OPPORTUNITIES TO UNDERREPRESENTED COMMUNITIES IN THE MUSIC INDUSTRY. OF THE 103 MUSICIANS, 22 IDENTIFIED AS WOMEN AND 14 IDENTIFIED AS "OTHER THAN WHITE."
