EVERY YEAR THIS ORGANIZATION ORGANIZES AN EXPO FOR FOOD PROFESSIONALS OF ALL DISCIPLINES IN THE PACIFIC NORTHWEST. ON FEB 27, 2024, WE HELD OUR 45TH ANNUAL "SUPPLIER NIGHT EXPO" FOCUSING ON WASHINGTON FOOD SUPPLIERS/MANUFACTURERS. THE EVENT ATTRACTED OVER 180 ATTENDEES REPRESENTING 60 FOOD MANUFACTURERS WITH 140 BOOTHS.
OTHER PROGRAM SERVICES INVOLVED THE BEER BREWING EVENT HELD IN OCTOBER 12, 2023, WHERE CASCADIA IFT MEMBERS BREWED, BOTTLED, AND PACKED OVER 30 CASES OF BEER, ROOT BEER, AND CIDER AT GALLAGHERS' BREWING IN EDMONDS, WA AND ALSO THE DECEMBER HOLIDAY PARTY AND FOOD DRIVE WHERE 35 ATTENDED AND RAISED A TOTAL OF $2,550.00 FOR FOOD LIFELINE, A SEATTLE-BASED FOOD BANK CREATING MODERN SOLUTIONS TO SOLVE HUNGER.
SCHOLARSHIP NIGHT AND DINNER IS HELD EVERY SPRING. THIS YEAR THE EVENT WAS HELD ON FEB 22, 2024 AND INCLUDED AN EDUCATIONAL DISCUSSION TO OUR MEMBERS AND GUESTS. 10 SCHOLARSHIP RECIPIENTS WERE AWARDED THEIR CHECKS AND IPADS DURING THE MEETING. THE SCHOLARSHIP COMMITTEE, COMPRISING OF 5 MEMBERS AND A FEW ADDITIONAL VOLUNTEERS HELPED WITH THIS EVENT.
GOLF OUTING HAPPENED EVERY JUNE, ABOUT 15 VOLUNTEERS HELP PLAN AND EXECUTE THIS EVENT. THE MAIN PURPOSE OF THIS EVENT WAS TO HELP FUND SCHOLARSHIP.
