DELIVERED BUILDING PERFORMANCE INSTITUTE TRAINING TO 12 STUDENTS THAT INCLUDED CERTIFICATIONS IN BUILDING SCIENCE PRINCIPLES, BUILDING ANALYST TECHNICIAN, AND BUILDING ANALYST PROFESSIONAL. MENTORSHIP WAS ALSO OFFERED TO STUDENTS TO GET THEM MORE HANDS ON TIME WITH THE DIAGNOSTIC TOOLS AND TESTING PROCEDURES.


ATTENDED MULTIPLE CAREER, JOB, AND HOMEOWNERSHIP FAIRS TO HELP INCREASE AWARENESS OF THE ENERGY EFFICIENCY INDUSTRY TO CONTRACTORS, NEW WORKERS, AND HOMEOWNERS. ATTENDED MUTIPLE CONFERENCES AND TRAININGS TO STAY ABREAST OF THE BEST PRACTICES IN THE INDUSTRY. JOINED MULTIPLE BOARDS, COMMITTEES, AND TASK FORCES TO ENSURE UNDERREPRESENTED VOICES ARE AT THE TABLE WHEN IT COMES TO DECISIONS AND POLICIES BEING MADE THAT AFFECT THE BUILT ENVIRONMENT. DELIVERED TRAINING TO STAFF AND CONTRACTORS SELECTED BY OUR COMMUNITY BASED PARTNER, PORTLAND COMMUNITY REINVESTMENT INITIATIVES, AND COMPLETED ENERGY AUDITS ON THEIR PORTFOLIO OF HOMES.


DELIVERED AN INTRODUCTION TO SUSTAINABLE BUILDING TO LOCAL PREAPPRENTICESHIP TRAINING PROGRAMS (PATP'S) INCLUDING PORTLAND YOUTH BUILDERS, PORTLAND OPPORTUNITIES INDUSTRIALIZATION CENTER, CONSTRUCTING HOPE, BLUEPRINT FOUNDATION, LATINOBUILT, AND THE GREEN WORKFORCE ACADEMY. THE CLASS INCLUDED A MIX OF IN CLASS LECTURE AND SITE VISITS. MENTORSHIP WAS ALSO OFFERED TO STUDENTS TO GET THEM MORE HANDS ON TIME WITH THE DIAGNOSTIC TOOLS AND TESTING PROCEDURES. WE ALSO LAUNCHED AN INTERNSHIP PROGRAM WITH OUR PARTNERS AT EARTH ADVANTAGE FOR GRADUATES OF THE PATP PROGRAMS.


DELIVERED SUSTAINABLE HOMES PROFESSIONAL TRAINING TO MEMBERS OF OUR COMMUNITY BASED PARTNER, LATINOBUILT. MENTORSHIP WAS ALSO OFFERED TO STUDENTS TO GET THEM MORE HANDS ON TIME WITH THE DIAGNOSTIC TOOLS AND TESTING PROCEDURES. WE ALSO WORKED WITH LATINOBUILT TO COMPLETE A PILOT TO DETERMINE THE VALUE OF THE NREL WEATHERIZATION BADGES TO CONTRACTORS.
