THE NEVADA ASSOCIATION FOR THE EDUCATION OF YOUNG CHILDREN PROMOTES HIGH-QUALITY EARLY LEARNING FOR ALL CHILDREN, BIRTH THROUGH AGE 8, BY CONNECTING PRACTICE, POLICY, AND RESEARCH. WE ADVANCE A DIVERSE, DYNAMIC EARLY CHILDHOOD PROFESSION AND SUPPORT ALL WHO CARE FOR, EDUCATE, AND WORK ON BEHALF OF YOUNG CHILDREN.

THE NEVADA ASSOCIATION FOR THE EDUCATION OF YOUNG CHILDREN PROVIDES TRAINING, LEADERSHIP WORKSHOPS AND CONFERENCES FOR PROFESSIONAL IN THE EARLY CHILDHOOD AND LOWER ELEMENTARY EDUCATION FIELDS. DURING THIS YEAR, 250 EARLY CHILDHOOD EDUCATORS ATTENDED THE STATE CONFERENCE VIRTUALLY, AND 108 EARLY CHILDHOOD EDUCATORS ATTENDED TRAINING AND NETWORKING OPPORTUNITIES.T.E.A.C.H. (TEACHER EDUCATION AND COMPENSATION HELPS) EARLY CHILDHOOD NEVADA PROVIDES COMPREHENSIVE, DEBT-FREE SCHOLARSHIPS TO CHILD CARE EDUCATORS. T.E.A.C.H. NEVADA SCHOLARSHIPS INCLUDE FINANCIAL SUPPORT FOR TUITION, BOOKS, PAID RELEASE TIME FROM WORK, TRAVEL STIPENDS, AND BONUSES AND WAGE INCREASES AS SCHOLARSHIP RECIPIENTS COMPLETE COURSEWORK IN EARLY CHILDHOOD EDUCATION LEADING TOWARDS THE ATTAINMENT OF A DEGREE IN EARLY CHILDHOOD EDUCATION. DURING THIS FISCAL YEAR, 150 RECIPIENTS RECEIVED T.E.A.C.H. NEVADA SCHOLARSHIPS. THE GOALS OF T.E.A.C.H. EARLY CHILDHOOD NEVADA IS INCREASED EDUCATIONAND COMPENSATION FOR SCHOLARSHIP RECIPIENTS, AND DECREASED TURNOVER RATE FOR PARTICIPATING CHILD CARE PROGRAMS.
