OUR MISSION IS TO BUILD MAJORITY SUPPORT FOR PUBLIC POLICIES THAT CREATE PROSPERITY AND OPPORTUNITY FOR ALL NORTH CAROLINIANS. THROUGH EDUCATION AND CIVIC ENGAGEMENT, WE SEEK A FAIR AND JUST SOCIETY WHERE EVERYONE CAN SHAPE OUR COLLECTIVE FUTURE.

RESEARCH AND SURVEYS: THE ORGANIZATION CONDUCTED PUBLIC OPINION RESEARCH THROUGH FOCUS GROUPS AND PUBLIC OPINION POLLING TO BETTER UNDERSTAND HOW NORTH CAROLINIANS VIEWED KEY ISSUES. THESE FINDINGS WERE USED TO FURTHER PUBLIC POLICY DEVELOPMENT AS WELL AS HOW THE ORGANIZATION MESSAGES TO THE PUBLIC AT-LARGE.
EVENTS: THE ORGANIZATION HELD FOUR PUBLIC POLICY CONFERENCES AND ONE TWO-DAY SUMMIT THAT BROUGHT TOGETHER COMMUNITY LEADERS, POLICYMAKERS, BUSINESSES, AND ADVOCATES TO EXCHANGE IDEAS AND LEARNINGS. A NUMBER OF ISSUES WERE DISCUSSED INCLUDING HEALTH CARE, PUBLIC EDUCATION, WORKFORCE DEVELOPMENT, AND DEMOCRACY.
SUPPORT TO ALLY ORGANIZATIONS: THE ORGANIZATION CHOSE TO MAKE GENERAL SUPPORT GRANTS TO ALLY ORGANIZATIONS. THESE ORGANIZATIONS ARE ENGAGED IN MEANINGFUL WORK THAT ALIGNS WITH THE MISSION OF MAJORITY RISING NC AND ARE DEEMED WORTHY OF RECEIVING SUPPORT.
