MARCH ON WASHINGTON - DMI ALONG WITH MARCH ON ORGANIZED AN EVENT WHERE THOUSANDS OF PEOPLE MARCHED AND RALLIED PEACEFULLY IN THE NATION'S CAPITAL AND CITIES NATIONWIDE TO DEMAND SWIFT FEDERAL ACTION AROUND VOTING RIGHTS. NEARLY 200 PARTNER ORGANIZATIONS OFFERED SUPPORT. MARCHERS PROTESTED SOME 400 BILLS INTRODUCED IN STATE LEGISLATURES NATIONWIDE.
DRUM MAJOR MOBILIZED NUMEROUS PEACEFUL PROTESTS AND RALLIES OUTSIDE OF THE CAPITAL AND WHITE HOUSE TO INCITE ACTION FROM OUR LAWMAKERS REGARDING VOTING RIGHTS. ON NOVEMBER 3, THE SENATE BLOCKED THE CONSIDERATION OF THE JOHN LEWIS VOTING RIGHTS ADVANCEMENT ACT. DRUM MAJOR LED A PROTEST AT THE WHITE HOUSE AND THE KING FAMILY, AND MORE THAN 50 OTHERS WERE ARRESTED WHILE TELLING PRESIDENT BIDEN TO ACT NOW TO ENSURE THE PASSAGE OF FEDERAL VOTING RIGHTS LEGISLATION.
