GRANTED FUNDS DIRECTLY TO STATE NONPROFIT ORGANIZATIONS THAT MEET THE PROGRAM CRITERIA TO SUPPORT AND GROW DEDICATED AND PROFESSIONAL STAFF IN THE EXECUTION OF THEIR NON-PARTISAN DUTIES, SUCH AS: CULTIVATING AND RETAINING CHARITABLE DONORS; AND ASSESSING AND BUILDING THE CAPACITY OF NON-PARTISAN CIVIC ENGAGEMENT AND COMMUNICATIONS ORGANIZATIONS IN THEIR STATES. THESE CAPACITY BUILDING ACTIVITIES INCLUDE: ACCESSING AND SHARING BEST PRACTICES FOR BUILDING AND RESOURCING STRUCTURES/ENTITIES FOR NON-PARTISAN VOTER ACTIVITY AND ENGAGEMENT; RESEARCH; LEADERSHIP DEVELOPMENT; COMMUNICATIONS; ACCOUNTABILITY; AND ACCESSING PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT FOR THEMSELVES AND THEIR STAFF SUCH AS MANAGEMENT/FINANCE/LEGAL TRAININGS, RACE EQUITY AND INCLUSIVITY TRAINING, AND TRAINING ON RECRUITING INDIVIDUAL AND FOUNDATION DONORS TO STATE NONPROFIT ORGANIZATIONS.
