THE IARW-WFLO CONVENTION WAS HELD FACE-TO-FACE IN 2022. THE EVENT TOOK PLACE IN OMNI LA COSTA IN CARLSBAD, CALIFORNIA FROM OCTOBER 8-12 AND ATTRACTED OVER 350 ATTENDEES AS WELL AS 35 EXHIBITORS. THE THREE-DAY NETWORKING AND EDUCATION EVENT WAS ATTENDED BY SENIOR-LEVEL EXECUTIVES FROM THE TEMPERATURE-CONTROLLED LOGISTICS INDUSTRY. IARW ALSO HOSTED A VIRTUAL POLICY FORUM IN JULY 2022 THAT FOCUSED ON GLOBAL COLD CHAIN ADVOCACY ISSUES AND ATTRACTED OVER 250 PARTICIPANTS. DUE TO STRICT COVID POLICIES IN WASHINGTON, DC, THE ORGANIZATION TOOK THE OPPORTUNITY TO REACH A GLOBAL AUDIENCE AND CONDUCT THE POLICY FORUM VIRTUALLY. IN 2023, THE EVENT WILL GO BACK TO BEING FACE-TO-FACE. IN ADDITION, THE FOLLOWING EVENTS WERE ALSO HELD FACE IN 2022 THE EUROPEAN COLD CHAIN CONFERENCE (ROTTERDAM, NETHERLANDS/MARCH/150 ATTENDEES), LATIN AMERICAN COLD CHAIN CONGRESS (BOGOTA, COLOMBIA/NOVEMBER/100 ATTENDEES), BRAZILIAN COLD CHAIN CONGRESS (SAO PAOLO/OCTOBER/100 ATTENDEES) AND THE FIRST AFRICAN COLD CHAIN CONFERENCE (CAPE TOWN, SOUTH AFRICA/AUGUST/110 PEOPLE). LASTLY, THE IARW BOARD WAS ALSO ABLE TO MEET FACE-TO-FACE IN APRIL 2022 FOR ITS ANNUAL STRATEGIC BOARD MEETING.
