H2TF CONNECTS COLORADO-BASED STUDENTS AND THEIR FAMILIES TO EDUCATIONAL OPPORTUNITIES AND PROVIDES COLLEGE ADVISING, LEADERSHIP DEVELOPMENT TOOLS, AND RESOURCES TO SUCCEED IN THEIR EDUCATIONAL PURSUITS.

STUDENTS ARE PROVIDED WITH ASSISTANCE THROUGHOUT THE COLLEGE APPLICATION PROCESS. THIS INCLUDES SEARCHING FOR AND VISITING COLLEGES, FILLING OUT APPLICATIONS, APPLYING FOR FAFSA, CASFA, AND SCHOLARSHIPS, AND MANY OTHER COLLEGE-RELATED ITEMS. ONCE ENROLLED, OUR TEAM PROVIDES SUPPORT THROUGH GRADUATION.
AN 11-WEEK LEADERSHIP SEMINAR ADDRESSING A RANGE OF TOPICS FROM EXPLORATION OF SELF AND ADVOCACY TO BIAS AND COMMUNICATION SKILLS. UPON SUCCESSFUL COMPLETION OF THE SEMINARS, STUDENTS WILL RECEIVE A $1500 SCHOLARSHIP, AS WELL AS THE OPPORTUNITY TO APPLY FOR 3 MORE SCHOLARSHIPS FROM THE DENVER FOUNDATION, INCLUDING ONE 4-YEAR NEEDS-BASED SCHOLARSHIP TO ANY COLORADO PUBLIC INSTITUTION.
A STUDENT-RUN PROGRAM FOCUSED ON BUILDING A SUPPORTIVE COMMUNITY FOR STUDENTS TO DEVELOP CONNECTIONS, SUPPORT ONE ANOTHER, AND HAVE FUN! THROUGH A MENTOR/MENTEE SYSTEM, THE PROGRAM PAIRS RECENT HIGH SCHOOL GRADUATES WITH STUDENTS WHO HAVE COMPLETED AT LEAST ONE YEAR OF POST-SECONDARY STUDY. AS A RESULT, THEY WORK TOGETHER TO ACHIEVE THEIR PERSONAL AND ACADEMIC GOALS THROUGH OUTSIDE ACTIVITIES AND WORKSHOPS.
