WGU ACADEMY (ACADEMY) BEGAN OPERATIONS AS ITS OWN SEPARATE COMPANY IN JANUARY 2021. ACADEMY SOUGHT AND RECEIVED CREDIT RECOMMENDATION FROM THE AMERICAN COUNCIL ON EDUCATION (ACE) FOR ITS FLAGSHIP COURSE, THE PROGRAM FOR ACADEMIC AND CAREER ADVANCEMENT (PACA). PACA NOW TRANSFERS TO OTHER INSTITUTIONS AS A 3-CREDIT COMMUNICATIONS COURSE. ACADEMY CONTINUES TO OFFER ITS COLLEGE READINESS PROGRAM TO UNDERSERVED POPULATIONS ACROSS A VARIETY OF CLIENTS IN DIFFERENT SEGMENTS. HIGHER ED, EMPLOYER GROUPS, AND COMMUNITY GROUPS. ACADEMY HAD APPROXIMATELY 9,000 STUDENTS DURING FY22.
