GRANTS TO OTHER ORGANIZATIONS - PROVIDED SEVERAL GRANTS TO DOMESTIC 501(C)(3) CHARITABLE ORGANIZATIONS TO SUPPORT PROGRAM WORK THAT ALIGNS WITH SILVERADO'S MISSION. IN PARTICULAR, A GRANT WAS PROVIDED TO THE WASHINGTON INTERNATIONAL TRADE ASSOCIATION (WITA) TO SPONSOR A "TRADE AND ENVIRONMENT POLICY SERIES" OF VIRTUAL ROUNDTABLES WITH FREE ADMISSION TO THE PUBLIC. A GRANT WAS PROVIDED TO THE ASPEN INSTITUTE TO SUPPORT THE ASPEN ENERGY FORUM, AND A GRANT WAS COMPLETED TO THE ASIA SOCIETY POLICY INSTITUTE (ASPI) TO SUPPORT A PROGRAM THAT EMPOWERS FEMALE TRADE NEGOTIATORS IN THE SOUTHEAST ASIA REGION.
PROGRAM EVENTS - PERIODICALLY HOST OR PARTICIPATE IN EVENTS THAT SUPPORT THE ORGANIZATION'S MISSION BY CONVENING ISSUE EXPERTS TO DISCUSS POLICY CHALLENGES AND SOLUTIONS IN ITS PILLAR AREAS. IN 2022, FOR EXAMPLE, SILVERADO HOSTED A CONVENING OF EXPERTS TO DISCUSS CRITICAL MINERAL SUPPLY CHAIN SECURITY, A LEADERSHIP FORUM ON WOMEN IN NATIONAL SECURITY, AND MULTIPLE TRADE AND ENVIRONMENT EVENTS. SILVERADO ALSO PARTICIPATED IN EVENTS HOSTED BY OTHER ORGANIZATIONS INCLUDING THE CIPHER BRIEF CYBERSECURITY CONFERENCE AND ASPEN ENERGY CONFERENCE.
