ACE BASIN GROWERS OPERATES A FOOD BOX PROGRAM CALLED FOODSHARE ORANGEBURG WHICH PROVIDES A BOX OF FRESH FRUIT AND VEGETABLES TO THE PUBLIC EVERY TWO WEEKS WITH A FOCUS ON SNAP/EBT AUDIENCES. WE ACCEPT HEALTHY BUCKS COUPONS FROM THE STATE OF SOUTH CAROLINA WHICH SUBSIDIES $10 FOR EVERY $5 SPENT ON EBT. FOODSHARE ALSO OPERATES A VEGGIE RX OPTION WHICH ALLOWS FOR A FREE BOX TO THE CUSTOMER WHEN A PHYSICIAN WRITES PRESCRIPTION. THIS PROGRAM IS EVERY TWO WEEKS AND IS FUNDED BY THE UNIVERSITY OF SOUTH CAROLINA. ALL EXPENSES FOR THIS YEAR ARE RELATED TO FOODSHARE ORANGEBURG. THE PROGRAM SERVES MAINLY UNDERSERVED POPULATIONS, RURAL POPULATIONS THOSE ON EBT.
