FOR THE YEAR THAT DECEMBER 31, 2021, GLOBAL GROWERS NETWORK, INC. OPERATED THE FOLLOWING PROGRAMS:(1)GGNS GROWER NETWORK BUILDS RELATIONSHIPS AND COMMUNITY AMONG THE 300+ DIVERSE GROWERS WHO ARE ACTIVELY GROWING FOOD FOR THEIR FAMILIES AND LOCAL MARKETS THROUGH SMALLHOLDER PLOTS ACROSS METRO ATLANTA. GROWERS IN GGNS NETWORK INCREASE ACCESS TO AND CONSUMPTION OF FRESH AND CULTURALLY RELEVANT FOODS. THEY ALSO INCREASE ECONOMIC SELF-SUFFICIENCY OF THEIR FAMILIES THROUGH COST SAVINGS AND INCOME GENERATION.(2)GGNS LAND NETWORK FACILITATES ACCESS TO QUALITY FARMLAND FOR GROWERS WHO FACE BARRIERS TO ACCESSING LAND AND CAPITAL. GGN MANAGES A NETWORK OF FARM AND COMMUNITY GARDEN SITES ACROSS METRO ATLANTA IN DECATUR, CLARKSTON, STONE MOUNTAIN, AND CONYERS. THROUGH CONNECTION TO LAND, GGN INCREASES OPPORTUNITIES FOR GROWERS TO PRESERVE AND SHARE IMPORTANT CULTURAL (AGRICULTURAL) TRADITIONS. THROUGH COMMUNITY GARDENS AND FARMS, THE LAND NETWORK IS DESIGNED TO INCREASE COOPERATION AMONG GROWERS IN THEIR PRODUCTION AND DISTRIBUTION SYSTEMS. GGN ALSO WORKS TO INCREASE THE BIODIVERSITY OF LAND MANAGED BY GGN.(3)GGNS RESOURCE NETWORK CONNECTS GROWERS TO AGRICULTURAL RESOURCES FOR HOME AND COMMERCIAL PRODUCTION TO HELP THEM ACHIEVE THEIR FARM/GARDEN GOALS, WITH A FOCUS ON ORGANIC AGRICULTURE TECHNIQUES AND, WITH COMMERCIAL GROWERS, ON MARKET READINESS SUPPORT. GGN SPECIALIZES IN DESIGNING AND SHARING CULTURALLY AND LINGUISTICALLY APPROPRIATE RESOURCES THAT SUPPORT INTERNATIONAL FARMERS IN ADAPTING THEIR AGRICULTURAL SKILLS TO A NEW CULTURE AND CLIMATE. GGN ALSO FOSTERS COLLABORATIONS AND COALITION BUILDING AMONG LOCAL PARTNERS AND STAKEHOLDERS TO CREATE A NETWORK OF SUPPORT AROUND GGNS GROWER NETWORK.(4)GGNS SALES NETWORK CONNECTS GROWERS TO MARKET AND ENTERPRISE OPPORTUNITIES TO SUPPORT THEIR ECONOMIC SELF-SUFFICIENCY. IN APRIL 2021, GGN ENTERED INTO A LEASE WITH PURCHASE OPTION WITH THE CONSERVATION FUND TO ACQUIRE A 23-ACRE FARM IN ROCKDALE COUNTY. GGN LAUNCHED ITS FIRST CAPITAL CAMPAIGN IN 2021 TO RAISE $1.5 MILLION TO ACQUIRE AND DEVELOP THE NEW PROPERTY.
