THE BLUFF FORT:THE CONTINUING PRESERVATION AND RESTORATION OF THE ORIGINAL FORT STRUCTURES AND GROUNDS THAT FOCUS ON THE STORY OF THE HOLE-IN-THE-ROCK PIONEERS. CREATE A SEMBLANCE OF THE ORIGINAL BLUFF FORT THROUGH THE CONSTRUCTION OF SOME OF THE FORT'S ORIGINAL LOG STRUCTURES INCLUDING: LOG MEETINGHOUSE, BLACKSMITH SHOP, LOG CO-OP STORE, AND LOG CABINS. COLLECT AND DISPLAY PIONEER ARTIFACTS INCLUDING: WAGONS, FARMING IMPLEMENTS, BLACKSMITH IMPLEMENTS AND CABIN/MEETINGHOUSE FURNISHINGS WHICH ARE APPLICABLE TO THE TELLING OF THE STORY OF THE BLUFF FORT AND ITS ORIGINAL RESIDENTS.
THE HOLE-IN-THE-ROCK TRAIL:CONDUCT AND SUPPORT HOLE-IN-THE ROCK TRAIL RESEARCH AND PRESERVATION. SUPPORT TRAIL IDENTIFICATION AND MARKING PROJECTS. DEVELOP AND INSTALL INTERPRETIVE SIGNS/KIOSKS AT SIGNIFICANT TRAIL LOCATIONS. PROVIDE AND SUPPORT TRAIL EXCURSIONS AND INFORMATION ALONG THE TRAIL, INCLUDING MAPS AND OTHER LITERATURE, FACILITATING YOUTH GROWTH AND ENRICHMENT.
EDUCATE AND COMMUNICATE WITH THE COMMUNITY IN THE FOLLOWING WAYS:COLLECT AND SHARE HISTORIES AND PHOTOGRAPHS PERTINENT TO THE HOLE-IN-THE-ROCK/SAN JUAN MISSION AND OTHER RELATED STORIES OF THE 1879-1899 PERIOD. REGULARLY PUBLISH A NEWSLETTER THAT HIGHLIGHTS THE FOUNDATION'S PROJECTS AND CONVEYS THE PIONEER STORIES. DEVELOP AND ENHANCE A WEBSITE THAT PROVIDES TRAIL INFORMATION AND PRESERVES THE RICH HISTORY OF THE SAN JUAN PIONEERS.
