IN MAY OF 2019, NAVY LEGACY FLIGHT FOUNDATION ENTERED INTO A 5 YEAR CONTRACT WITH THE UNITED STATES NAVY TO PROVIDE CIVILIAN OWNED AND OPERATED VINTAGE MILITARY AIRCRAFT TO PARTICIPATE WITH THE NAVY IN U.S.NAVY AIRSHOWS AT VARIOUS LOCATIONS IN THE UNITED STATES. THE FOUNDATION RECEIVES REIMBURSEMENT FROM THE US NAVY AND REIMBURSES THE CIVILIAN AIRCRAFT OWNERS OF THE VINTAGE AIRCRAFT FOR THE COSTS OF OPERATING THEIR AIRCRAFT RELATED TO THE US NAVY LEAD AIRSHOWS. THE PURPOSE OF THE PROGRAM IS TO ENHANCE US NAVAL RECRUITING AND SUPPORT AND INCREASE THE PUBLIC'S INTEREST IN NAVAL AVIATION.
