THE PACIFIC BEACH COALITION IS DEDICATED TO PRESERVING THE OCEAN, COASTAL HABITAT, AND WILDLIFE, AND ENDING LITTER THROUGH ADVOCACY, EDUCATION, COMMUNITY BUILDING, AND CITIZEN ACTION.

MONTHLY BEACH CLEANUPS AND HABITAT RESTORATIONADOPT A BEACH, GIVE BACK, AND HABITAT RESTORATION PROGRAMSIN 2021 THE PACIFIC BEACH COALITION ENGAGED 12,563 VOLUNTEERS TO REMOVE 47,510 POUNDS OF TRASH, 2228 POUNDS OF RECYCLES, AND 206,757 CIGARETTE FILTERS FROM THE STREETS, BEACHES AND OPEN SPACES. VOLUNTEERS ALSO WEEDED AND PLANTED 1500 NATIVE PLANTS ALONG THE COASTAL TRAIL FROM LINDA MAR BEACH TO ROCKAWAY IN PACIFICA.
STREET-TO-BEACH PROGRAMAS A RESULT OF THE PANDEMIC IN 2020, PBC BEGAN THIS SELF LED CLEANUP PROGRAM WHERE INDIVIDUALS OR THOSE IN THE SAME HOUSEHOLD CAN CLEAN UP THEIR LOCAL STREETS, PARKS, SHOPPING CENTERS, AND BEACHES. THIS IS A DIGITAL PROGRAM THAT IS GROWING NATIONALLY AND LEVERAGES THE CLEAN SWELL APP TO GATHER IMPORTANT DATA HELPING FURTHER DRIVE IMPACT AND CHANGE WITH LOCAL GOVERNMENT AND OTHER ORGANIZATIONS.
EDUCATIONAL PROGRAMS FOR ADDITIONAL OUTREACH AND EDUCATION ON ENDING LITTER AND THE IMPACT TO OUR ENVIRONMENT, PBC OFFERS SCHOOLS AND EDUCATION ORGANIZATIONS IN-PERSON ASSEMBLIES, VIRTUAL TALKS, EDUCATION RESOURCES AND TEACHER MODULES FOR YOUTH AND ADULTS.
