RIDING LESSONS. SSRCS LESSON PROGRAMS SERVE RIDERS BETWEEN THE AGES OF 3 TO 85 YEARS OLD SKILL LEVELS FROM BEGINNER TO ADVANCED IE JUMPING AND COMPETITION RIDERS AND ADAPTIVE RIDERS RIDERS WITH DISABILITIES. AVAILABLE TO ALL RIDES IS A SCHOLARSHIP FUND AND SLIDING SCALE FEES. THESE LESSONS UTILIZE SSRCS SCHOOL HORSES SO RIDERS MAY LEARN AND ADVANCE THROUGH SKILL LEVELS WITHOUT THE FINANCIAL BURDEN OF HAVING TO PURCHASE THEIR OWN HORSE. HAVING A LARGE AND SKILLED HERD OF SCHOOL HORSES ALLOWS SSRC TO SERVE SUCH A DIVERSE GROUP OF RIDERS WHILE MEETING THEIR INDIVIDUAL AND UNIQUE NEEDS. SSRC SERVED 83 RIDERS IN THESE TWO PROGRAMS. SSRC INSTRUCTORS AND HORSES ARE INCREDIBLE TEACHERS WITH THE UNIQUE ABILITY TO CHALLENGE AND REWARD A RIDER EMOTIONALLY PHYSICALLY SOCIALLY AND MENTALLY. RIDERS ARE TAUGHT TO BE MINDFUL EMPATHETIC OBSERVANT CONFIDENT RESPONSIBLE AWARE OF THEIR ACTIONS AND COGNIZANT OF THEIR BEHAVIORS. THESE NECESSARY LIFE SKILLS TRANSCEND BEYOND THE RIDING ARENA AND INTO DAILY LIVES. ADDITIONALLY RIDING AS A RECREATIONAL AND SPORTING ACTIVITY GETS RIDERS OFF THEIR DEVICES MOVING THEIR BODIES AND INTO THE OUTDOORS.
