REPLATE CREATES TECHNOLOGY AND ACTIVATES COMMUNITY TO RELIABLY REDISTRIBUTE SURPLUS FOOD TO THOSE EXPERIENCING FOOD INSECURITY.REPLATE HOME WAS A PROGRAMMATIC RESPONSE TO COVID 19 WHERE REPLATE BEGAN BRINGING FOOD DIRECTLY TO THE HOMES OF THOSE EXPERIENCING FOOD INSECURITY.

IN 2021 REPLATE PREPARED FOR THE ENACTMENT OF CA SB 1383 LEGISLATION BY REACHING OUT TO FOOD GENERATORS AND NONPROFITS TO EDUCATE THEM ON THE IMPENDING LEGISLATION. WE CREATED A WEBPAGE DEDICATED TO INFORMATION ON SB 1383. WE CONTINUED TO STRENGTHEN THE NETWORK OF FOOD DONORS AND NON-PROFIT ORGANIZATIONS THAT WE WORK WITH AND CONTINUED MAKING IMPROVEMENTS TO OUR TECHNOLOGY INCLUDING ADVANCED DATA CAPTURE WHICH WILL ALLOW US TO PROVIDE SOURCE REDUCTION INFORMATION TO OUR FOOD DONORS AND NUTRITION INFORMATION TO THE NON-PROFITS WE SERVE. WE ALSO IMPLEMENTED USER PERMISSIONS WHICH WILL HELP US ONBOARD LARGER FOOD DONORS. ONE SIGNIFICANT PROGRAM ACCOMPLISHMENT IN 2021 WAS RECOVERING 140,998 POUNDS OF FOOD FROM A FOOD GENERATOR IN THE CENTRAL VALLEY THIS WAS OUR FIRST FORAY INTO LARGE-SCALE FOOD DONATIONS AND HELPED DRIVE A DISCUSSION WITH CAL RECYCLE ABOUT THE CHALLENGES THAT THE CHARITABLE FOOD SPACE WILL CONFRONT AS JURISDICTIONS BECOME COMPLIANT WITH SB 1383.
