RAVENWOOD'S MISSION IS TO CONNECT PEOPLE WITH NATURE, COMMUNITY, AND SELF THROUGH THOUGHTFUL MENTORING, SERVICE TO OTHERS, AND SKILL DEVELOPMENT IN THE OUTDOORS.

DUE TO THE PANDEMIC, ALL PLANNED 2021 LATE WINTER ACTIVITIES WERE CANCELLED AND PROGRAMS RESUMED IN MID MARCH WITH OUR STANDARD SPRING BREAK DAY CAMP AND THE START OF OUR WILD HOMESCHOOL SERIES, WHICH DOUBLED IN SIZE. RAVENWOOD SCHOOL PROGRAM SERIES WITH KALISPELL MONTESSORI SCHOOL AND HELENA FLATS SCHOOL CARRIED ON AS PLANNED. RAVENWOOD CONTINUED OUR PROGRAM SERIES WITH THE WHITEFISH INDEPENDENT HIGH SCHOOL AND ADDED A NEW SERIES WITH KALISPELL'S DISTRICT 5 LINDERMAN INDEPDENT HIGH SCHOOL. ALL SCHOOL PROGRAMS WERE PROVIDED AT NO COST TO THE SCHOOLS EXCEPT KALISPELL MONTESSORI SCHOOL WHICH PROVIDES 40% OF OPERATING COSTS THROUGH A FEE. GRANT FUNDING FROM THE NOVO FOUNDATION/EDUCATION FIRST FOUNDATION/ROCKEFELLER PHILANTHROPY ADVISORS TO ENHANCE SOCIAL EMOTIONAL LEARNING OUTCOMES PROVIDED OVER 24,000 IN SUPPORT FOR THE FREE SCHOOL PROGRAMS. THE APPLIED MATERIALS FOUNDATION ALSO PROVIDED 2500 IN GRANT SUPPORT FOR THE LOCAL SCHOOL PROGRAMS. SOROPTIMIST INTERNATIONAL OF WHITEFISH PROVIDED A GRANT OF 2500 TO SUPPORT OUR FIRE TENDERS PROGRAM SERIES FOR GIRLS AND OTHER MARGINALIZED GENDERS.
