YEAR ROUND MUSIC-PRESENTING ORGANIZATION DEDICATED TO STIMULATING INTEREST IN & PROMOTING AWARENESS & APPRECIATION OF JAZZ BY FACILITATING CROSS-CULTURAL INTERACTION, PROVIDING PERFORMANCE OPPORTUNITIES & EDUCATING ABOUT THE IMPORTANT ROLE OF JAZZ AS AN INDIGENOUS ART FORM

HEALDSBURG JAZZ RUNS A 9 DAY ANNUAL MUSIC FESTIVAL IN JUNE, PRESENTING AN ARRAY OF ARTISTS IN NEW & OFTEN UNEXPECTED CONFIGURATIONS AND LOCATIONS, WITH EDUCATIONAL AND COMMUNITY EVENTS KEY COMPONENTS OF THIS OUTSTANDING FESTIVAL. OVER 19 CONCERTS WERE PRESENTED, AT 10 DIFFERENT SITES, INVOLVING OVER 100 ARTISTS.


HEALDSBURG JAZZ RETURNED TO SCHOOLS WITH A NUMBER OF EDUCATIONAL PROGRAMS INCLUDING BLACK HISTORY MONTH, HARLEM OF THE WEST, AFTER SCHOOL PROGRAMS, MUSIC & PERFORMING ARTS CAMP, AND FREEDOM JAZZ CHOIR. IN ADDITION, NUMEROUS COMMUNITY PROGRAMS WERE PRESENTED THROUGHOUT THE YEAR CELEBRATING MAYA ANGELOU, BLACK HISTORY MONTH, AND JUNETEENTH.
