GIRLS TODAY WOMEN TOMORROW: THIS MENTORSHIP PROGRAM PROVIDES YOUNG PEOPLE FROM LOW-INCOME FAMILIES IN AND AROUND EAST LA, CA WITH OPPORTUNITIES FOR PERSONAL, ACADEMIC AND LEADERSHIP DEVELOPPMENT IN SAFE, TURTURING SETTINGS. THE VOLUNTEER WOMEN WORK IN VARIOUS PROFESSIONS IN AND AROUND LA. THEY COUNSEL THE YOUNG LADIES AND HELP LEAD THE ACTIVITIES WHICH FOCUS ON TEACHING PARTICIPANTS IN HOW TO CREATE THEIR OWN OPPORTUNITIES FOR LIFE SUCCESS WHILE CONTRIBUTING TO THEIR COMMUNITY AS LEADERS. ACTIVITIES ARE DESIGNED TO HELP INCREASE THE PARTICIPANTS' SKILLS AND CONFIDENCE, BROADEN THEIR PERSPECTIVES AND PLAN THEIR FUTURE.
