THE PROJECT GLIMMER EMPOWERMENT ACADEMY, IS A SIX-WEEK VIRTUAL LEADERSHIP COURSE FACILITATED BY SKILLED TRAINERS AND PEER MENTORS. ACADEMY SESSIONS FOCUS ON GOAL-SETTING, PRESENTATION SKILLS, FINANCIAL LITERACY, AND SELF-REFLECTION, DELIVERED VIRTUALLY TO PARTICIPANTS NATIONWIDE. CORO FACILITATES 6 COHORTS THROUGHOUT THE COURSE OF THE YEAR.
2023 RISING LEADERS COHORT: THE NORTHERN CALIFORNIA GRANT MAKERS AND CORO PARTNERED TOGETHER TO JOIN THEIR EXPERIENCE, COMMITMENT AND BELIEF IN THE POWER OF LEADERSHIP DEVELOPMENT TO BUILD COMPETENCIES IN RISING LEADERS TO MEET THE CHALLENGES OF OUR TIMES. THROUGH INTERACTIVE, SMALL GROUP INSTRUCTION, WORKSHOPS, CONVERSATIONS, PERSONAL DEVELOPMENT TOOLS, AND PANELS WITH LIKE MINDED AND SENIOR PHILANTHROPIC PROFESSIONAL, THE PROGRAM AIMS TO BUILD THE COMPETENCIES OF SELF-AWARENESS, CURIOSITY, COMMUNICATION, NAVIGATING POWER, CONFLICT MANAGEMENT, FACILITATION, COLLABORATION AND BELONGING.
- CORO SIGNED A 5 YEAR LEASE FOR OFFICE SPACE AT 230 CALIFORNIA, SUITE 600 IN SAN FRANCISCO.- HOSTED A NUMBER OF IN-PERSON EVENTS TO BRING TOGETHER THE CORO COMMUNITY, INCLUDING A SPRING GATHERING ATTENDED BY APPROXIMATELY 350 MEMBERS OF THE CORO NETWORK.- SUCCESSFULLY SCOPED AND IMPLEMENTED A REDESIGN TO THE FELLOWS PROGRAM IN PUBLIC AFFAIRS.- IN 2022, CORO CELEBRATED THE 5TH ANNIVERSARY OF ITS REVAMPED WOMEN IN LEADERSHIP PROGRAM. MORE THAN 320 ALUMS ARE WORKING AND LEADING ACROSS THE REGION, AND 150+ ALUMS AND SUPPORTERS JOINED US FOR A PANEL DISCUSSION AND RECEPTION WITH STANDOUT BAY AREA LEADERS.
