THE FEDERAL BAR ASSOCIATION IS DEDICATED TO THE ADVANCEMENT OF THE SCIENCE OF JURISPRUDENCE AND TO PROMOTING THE WELFARE, INTERESTS, EDUCATION, AND PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT OF ALL ATTORNEYS AND JUDGES INVOLVED IN FEDERAL LAW. ITS MOST SIGNIFICANT ACTIVITIES ARE THE FOLLOWING MEMBERSHIP EVENTS: MONTHLY FALL AND SPRING LUNCHEONS, CHAPTER AWARDS & INSTALLATION DINNER, FEDERAL JUDICIAL RECEPTION, CLES, WOMEN'S INITIATIVE EVENTS, & BOARDROOM LUNCHES

EVENTS FOR MEMBERS: LUNCHEONS: FBA INVITE DISTINGUISHED GUEST OR PANEL TO DISCUSS TIMELY ISSUES, AND ARE AN OPPORTUNITY FOR MEMBERS OF THE LOCAL BAR TO NETWORK AND MINGLE. CLE SEMINARS TO ENSURE EASE FOR THE MEMBERS TO OBTAIN CLE CREDIT. BOARDROOM LUNCHES ARE EVENTS GIVE MEMBERS THE UNIQUE OPPORTUNITY TO DINE IN AN INTIMATE, CASUAL SETTING WITH SOME OF OUR SHARPEST AND MOST ENGAGING LOCAL FIGURES. WOMEN LAWYERS INITIATIVE IS TO ENCOURAGE DIALOGUE IN OUR LEGAL COMMUNITY ON THE UNIQUE CHALLENGES FACING WOMEN LAWYERS, AND TO FOSTER NETWORKING AND BUSINESS GENERATION OPPORTUNITIES FOR WOMEN LAWYERS IN SOUTH FLORIDA.


ANNUAL AWARDS & INSTALLATION: AT THE ANNUAL CHAPTER AWARDS AND INSTALLATION DINNER WE HONOR THE RECIPIENT OF THE EDWARD B. DAVIS AWARD FOR SERVICE TO THE FEDERAL BENCH & BAR, WHICH IS GIVEN TO A JUDGE OR LAWYER WHO HAS EXEMPLIFIED THE CHAPTERS VALUES OF EXCELLENCE AND SERVICE TO THE COMMUNITY, THE FEDERAL BENCH, AND THE FEDERAL BAR. IT IS OUR CHAPTERS HIGHEST HONOR. WE ALSO RECOGNIZE AND INSTALL OUR INCOMING PRESIDENT AND EXECUTIVE BOARD.


FEDERAL JUDICIAL RECEPTION: THIS EVENT IS OUR MOST CASUAL EVENING, NO SPEECHES AND NO SIT-DOWN DINNER, JUST MEETING AND TALKING WITH OUR FEDERAL BENCH AND BAR OVER FOOD AND DRINKS.
