SCHOLARSHIPS:LINCOLN COUNTY FARM BUREAU BOARD OF DIRECTORS AWARDED $6,000 IN SCHOLARSHIPS IN 2023. APPLICANTS ARE REQUIRED TO LIVE IN LINCOLN COUNTY AND THEIR FAMILIES BE A MEMBER OF LINCOLN COUNTY FARM BUREAU. PREFERENCE IS GIVEN TO STUDENTS MAJORING IN AN AGRICULTURE OR FORESTRY RELATED FIELD, ALTHOUGH ALL INTERESTED STUDENTS ARE ENCOURAGED TO APPLY. LINCOLN COUNTY FARM BUREAU FEDERATION HAS ESTABLISHED THESE SCHOLARSHIPS AS PART OF THEIR CONTINUING ENDEAVOR TO PROMOTE EDUCATION AND ASSIST WORTHY COLLEGE BOUND STUDENTS DEMONSTRATING FINANCIAL NEED.


COMMODITY MEETINGS:LINCOLN COUNTY FARM BUREAU ENCOURAGES VOLUNTEER MEMBERS TO ATTEND LEADERSHIP, COMMODITY, CONVENTIONS AND LEGISLATIVE CONFERENCES THAT HELP EDUCATE AND PROMOTE THE ORGANIZATION'S MISSION. AT THESE MEETING VOLUNTEERS DISCUSS ISSUES THAT HAVE AN IMPACT ON THE AGRICULTURAL INDUSTRY.


IN ORDER TO PROTECT AND PROMOTE THE AGRICULTURE INDUSTRY THE LINCOLN COUNTY FARM BUREAU THROUGH ITS STRUCTURE OF VOLUNTEER LEADERS SUPPORT PUBLIC POLICY EFFORTS AT THE LOCAL STATE AND NATIONAL LEVEL. THIS IS ACCOMPLISHED THROUGH BOTH LEGISLATIVE AND REGULATORY MONITORING COMMUNICATIONS WITH MEMBERS AND PUBLIC AWARENESS PROGRAMS ABOUT FARMING. VOLUNTEER MEMBERS PARTICIPATE IN THE SPONSORSHIP OF POLICY MEETINGS WITH THEIR LEGISLATORS TO EDUCATE THEM ABOUT AGRICULTURE ISSUES AND CONCERNS.
