SCHOLARSHIPS:HARRISON COUNTY FARM BUREAU PROVIDED 2 SCHOLARSHIPS IN 2021 TO COLLEGE STUDENTS TO HELP THEIR TOWARDS THEIR AGRICULTURAL EDUCATION.


THE HARRISON COUNTY FARM BUREAU STRUCTURE OF ORGANIZATIONAL LEADERSHIP PROVIDES MANY OPPORTUNITIES FOR MEMBERS TO KEEP ABREAST OF ISSUES THAT AFFECT AGRICULTURE. MEMBERS CAN PARTICIPATE IN DISTRICT, STATE AND NATIONAL ORGANIZATIONAL AND EDUCATIONAL CONFERENCES TO LEARN ABOUT CURRENT ISSUES FACING AGRICULTURE.


POLICY DEVELOPMENT:IN ORDER TO PROTECT & PROMOTE THE AGRICULTURE INDUSTRY THE HARRISON COUNTY FARM BUREAU THROUGH ITS STRUCTURE OF VOLUNTEER LEADERS SUPPORTS PUBLIC POLICY EFFORTS AT THE LOCAL, STATE AND NATIONAL LEVEL. THIS IS ACCOMPLISHED THROUGH LEGISLATIVE AND REGULATORY MONITORING COMMUNICATION WITH MEMBERS AND PUBLIC AWARENESS PROGRAMS. VOLUNTEER MEMBERS PARTICIPATE IN A LEGISLATIVE RECEPTION WITH LOCAL LEGISLATURES AND FARMERS ABOUT AGRICULTURAL POLICIES.
