PUBLIC POLICY PROGRAMSIN ORDER TO PROTECT & PROMOTE THE AGRICULTURE INDUSTRY, THE COAHOMA COUNTY FARM BUREAU THROUGH ITS STRUCTURE OF VOLUNTEER LEADERS, SUPPORTS PUBLIC POLICY EFFORTS AT THE LOCAL, STATE, AND NATIONAL LEVEL. THIS IS ACCOMPLISHED THROUGH LEGISLATIVE AND REGULATORY MONITORING, COMMUNICATION WITH MEMBERS, AND PUBLIC AWARENESS PROGRAMS. VOLUNTEER MEMBERS PARTICIPATE IN YEARLY MEETINGS WITH STATE LEGISLATURE TO EDUCATE THEM ABOUT AGRICULTURAL POLICY.


COAHOMA COUNTY FARM BUREAU STRUCTURE OF ORGANIZATIONAL LEADERSHIP PROVIDES MANY OPPORTUNITIES FOR MEMBER LEADERS TO KEEP ABREAST OF ISSUES THAT AFFECT AGRICULTURE. LOCAL BOARD MEMBERS ATTENDED STATE CONFERENCES TO NETWORK WITH FARMERS FOR EDUCATIONAL MEETINGS AND ISSUES FACING THE AGRICULTURE INDUSTRY.
