TO UNITE THROUGH OUR MEMBERSHIP THOSE PEOPLE OR GROUPS OF PEOPLE WITH A COMMON INTEREST IN DEVELOPING AND IMPROVING THE ECONOMIC, SOCIAL AND EDUCATIONAL INTEREST OF THE FARMER.

PUBLIC POLICY PROGRAMSIN ORDER TO PROTECT & PROMOTE THE AGRICULTURE INDUSTRY, THE MADISON COUNTY FARM BUREAU THROUGH ITS STRUCTURE OF VOLUNTEER LEADERS, SUPPORTS PUBLIC POLICY EFFORTS AT THE LOCAL, STATE, AND NATIONAL LEVEL. THIS IS ACCOMPLISHED THROUGH LEGISLATIVE AND REGULATORY MONITORING, COMMUNICATION WITH MEMBERS, AND PUBLIC AWARENESS PROGRAMS. VOLUNTEER MEMBERS PARTICIPATE IN YEARLY MEETINGS WITH STATE LEGISLATURE TO EDUCATE THEM ABOUT AGRICULTURAL POLICY.


MADISON COUNTY FARM BUREAU STRUCTURE OF ORGANIZATIONAL LEADERSHIP PROVIDES MANY OPPORTUNITIES FOR MEMBER LEADERS TO KEEP ABREAST OF ISSUES THAT AFFECT AGRICULTURE. LOCAL BOARD MEMBERS ATTENDED STATE CONFERENCES TO NETWORK WITH FARMERS FOR EDUCATIONAL MEETINGS AND ISSUES FACING THE AGRICULTURE INDUSTRY.


MADISON COUNTY FARM BUREAU DISPLAYS COMMODITY INFORMATION (MONTHLY TABLE TOPPERS, FARM BUREAU MAGAZINES AND NEWS RELEASES) YEAR ROUND IN OUR OFFICE TO EDUCATE OUR MEMBERS. WE PARTICIPATE IN AG IN THE CLASSROOM COLORING CONTEST IN MARCH. OUR AG PRODUCERS ARE INVOLVED IN LOCAL BOARD ACTIVITIES, COUNTY-WIDE AG ORGANIZATIONS, AND STATE FARM BUREAU MEETINGS. WE HAVE ASSIGNED COMMODITY COMMITTEES FOR COMMODITIES PRODUCED IN OUR COUNTY.
