THE ANNUAL CONFERENCE IS HELD EACH YEAR IN MAY/JUNE. THE CONFERENCE PROVIDES OUTSTANDING EDUCATIONAL AND NETWORKING OPPORTUNITIES TO MEET AND INTERACT WITH OTHER LOCAL GOVERNMENT OFFICIALS. TOPICS COVERED THIS YEAR INCLUDED EMERGING LEADERS, ETHICS, CONTROVERSIAL SPEECH, LEVERAGING DATA, AFFORDABLE HOUSING, WOMEN IN THE PROFESSION, AND EMOTIONAL INTELLIGENCE. A TOTAL OF 317 INDIVIDUALS REGISTERED FOR THIS YEAR'S CONFERENCE.
THE WINTER INSTITUTE IS A DAY-AND-A-HALF INTERACTIVE CONFERENCE FOR FCCMA FULL MEMBERS. IT IS LIMITED TO 90 FCCMA MEMBERS AND 10 CORPORATE ATTENDEES. IT IS DESIGNED TO BE AN INTENSE, INTERACTIVE WORKSHOP FOR FLORIDA'S CITY AND COUNTY MANAGERS AND ASSISTANTS. THIS YEAR'S TOPIC WAS MANAGING THE POST-COVID WORKFORCE. A TOTAL OF 111 INDIVIDUALS REGISTERED FOR THIS YEAR'S WINTER INSTITUTE.
AGAIN THIS YEAR, THE FCCMA CONTRACTED WITH VANCOREJONES TO PRODUCE MONTHLY PODCASTS TO FCCMA MEMBERS. THESE PODCASTS ARE PRODUCED BY ESTEEMED PUBLIC MANAGERS AND COVER TOPICS AND ISSUES RELEVANT TO FLORIDA'S CITY/COUNTY MANAGERS.
