THE YOUTH AND FAMILY CENTER PROVIDES PROGRAMS THAT ASSIST YOUTH WITH ACADEMIC MENTORING, EMPLOYABILITY, ENTREPRENEURSHIP AND FINANCIAL LITERACY TO HIGH SCHOOL STUDENTS. IN ADDITION, CDC IN PARTNERSHIP WITH THE UNIVERSITY AREA CDC, SERVES AT RISK YOUTH THROUGH SOCIAL PURPOSE WITH PROJECTS DESIGNED FOR PREVENTION, INTERVENTION AND DIVERSION. THERE ARE OVER 300 CHILDREN THAT PARTICIPATE IN THESE PROGRAMS.
THE CAREER RESOURCE CENTER HAS PROVIDED JOB TRAINING AND PLACEMENT SERVICES TO OVER 3,200 RESIDENTS OF HILLSBOROUGH COUNTY.
THE REAL ESTATE/HOUSING DEVELOPMENT PROGRAM HAS ASSISTED OVER 100 RESIDENTS BY PROVIDING INTENSIVE COUNSELING AND EDUCATION EMPOWERING POTENTIAL HOMEBUYERS AND ASSISTED OVER 1,000 WITH FORECLOSURE COUNSELING AND HOME PRESERVATION STRATEGIES.
