IT IS THE PURPOSE AND MISSION OF MBCEOC TO BREAK THE CYCLE OF POVERTY BY COORDINATING AVAILABLE RESOURCES, IN A STRUCTURED MANNER, TO AFFECT THE ECONOMIC AND OTHER CAUSES OF POVERTY IN THE MACON-BIBB COUNTY AREA.

HEAD START PROVIDED A PRESCHOOL EXPERIENCE FOR CHILDREN OF LOW-INCOME FAMILIES


THE COMMUNITY SERVICE BLOCK GRANT PROVIDES EMERGENCY ASSISTANCE AND TRANSPORTATION FOR ALL PROGRAMS ADMINISTERED BY THE COUNCIL FOR LOW-INCOME FAMILIES.


LOW INCOME HOME ENERGY ASSISTANCE PROGRAM, FUNDED BY DHR, PROVIDED ENERGY ASSISTANCE TO QUALIFYING HOUSEHOLDS.


THE ORGANIZATION HAS OTHER PROGRAMS SUCH AS CSBG, FOSTER GRANDPARENT, HOME DEVELOPMENT, AND TRANSPORTATION WHICH PROVIDE EMERGENCY ASSISTANCE OF UTILITIES, REPAIRS, RENT, ETC. TO LOW-INCOME INDIVIDUALS.
