IN 2021, DONATIONS TO AUGUSTA HEALTH FOUNDATION PROVIDED OVER 811,000 IN SUPPORT TO THE HEALTH SYSTEM INCLUDING: -NEW BEDS AND MATTRESSES TO IMPROVE COMFORT AND THE QUALITY OF CARE FOR HOSPICE PATIENTS. -STRETCHERS TO REPLACE THOSE WORN OUT FROM OUR INCREASED COVID PATIENT CENSUS AND ACCOMMODATE BARIATRIC PATIENTS UP TO 700 POUNDS. -AN INFANT ISOLETTE-INCUBATOR CARE STATION THAT ENABLES BORDERLINE NEWBORNS TO RECEIVE THEIR CARE AT AUGUSTA HEALTH AND NOT BE TRANSFERRED TO OTHER HOSPITALS. -A WEB-BASED NURSING EDUCATION RESOURCE FOR FRONT LINE CAREGIVERS TO RECEIVE STANDARDIZED TRAINING AND TREATMENT RECOMMENDATIONS FOR BETTER PATIENT OUTCOMES. -SCHOLARSHIPS FOR SIX STUDENTS TO ATTEND THE CERTIFIED NURSING ASSISTANT PROGRAM, IN COLLABORATION WITH AUGUSTA HEALTH AND THE VALLEY CAREER AND TECHNICAL CENTER. -VIRTUAL AND LIVE MUSIC THERAPY SESSIONS FOR PATIENTS AND TEAM MEMBERS DURING COVID SURGES, IN PARTNERSHIP WITH THE HEIFETZ INTERNATIONAL MUSIC INSTITUTE. -MEDICATION AND TRANSPORTATION ASSISTANCE FOR PATIENTS RECEIVING CANCER TREATMENT. -SUPPORT FOR FOOD PHARMACY AND FARM TO SCHOOL PROGRAMS THROUGH AUGUSTA HEALTH'S COMMUNITY OUTREACH PARTNERSHIPS. -TOKENS TO INCENTIVIZE BEHAVIORAL HEALTH PATIENTS AND ENCOURAGE PARTICIPATION IN COUNSELING SESSIONS. -ONSITE COVID CLINIC WHICH PROVIDES VACCINATIONS TO THE COMMUNITY AS WELL AS OUTREACH CLINICS TO RURAL AND UNDERSERVED POPULATIONS. AUGUSTA HEALTH FOUNDATION CONTINUES TO FULFILL ITS "100% PROMISE", AS 100% OF EVERY GIFT SUPPORTS THE PROGRAMS OR SERVICES DONORS CHOOSE. THE OPERATIONAL COST OF THE FOUNDATION IS FUNDED BY THE HEALTH SYSTEM.
