BALLAD HEALTH FOUNDATION'S PRIMARY PURPOSE IS TO BUILD RELATIONSHIPS WITH OTHERS TO FULFILL THE MISSION AND VISION OF BALLAD HEALTH THROUGH PHILANTHROPY. WORKING TOGETHER AROUND A COMMON SET OF OBJECTIVES, WE CAN TRANSFORM OUR COMMUNITY'S HEALTH AND WELL-BEING.

BALLAD HEALTH FOUNDATION AIMS TO LEVERAGE PHILANTHROPIC INVESTMENTS TO IMPROVE HEALTH AND HEALTHCARE IN THE APPALACHIAN HIGHLANDS REGION. DURING THE TWELVE-MONTH PERIOD ENDED JUNE 30,2021, THE FOUNDATION FUNDED $1,278,271 FOR EQUIPMENT, PROGRAMS, AND SERVICES THROUGHOUT THE REGION, $56,400 WAS GRANTED TO UPGRADE THE HEALTH SYSTEM'S COVID-19 TESTING CAPABILITIES. A TOTAL OF $654,454 WAS INVESTED IN WOMEN AND CHILDREN'S SERVICES, WITH $83,917 TO PROVIDE MATCHING FUNDS FOR A SCHOOL-BASED TELEHEALTH PROGRAM. THE FOUNDATION ALSO PROVIDED $177,217 IN FUNDING FOR ONCOLOGY SERVICES WHICH INCLUDED ENHANCED ULTRASOUND EQUIPMENT AT BRISTOL REGIONAL MEDICAL CENTER AND BREAST CANCER SCREENINGS FOR WOMEN WHO COULD NOT AFFORD IT. THE FOUNDATION GRANTED $191,916 TO MEETING BASIC NEEDS FOR PATIENTS IN THROUGH BALLAD HEALTH'S PATIENT ASSISTANCE PROGRAMS. THE FOUNDATION SUPPORTED THE HEALTH SYSTEM'S PARISH NURSING PROGRAM WITH $24,819 AND OUR HOSPICE AND HOME PROGRAM WITH $13,852. FINALLY, THE FOUNDATION PROVIDED $96,623 TO SUPPORT BALLAD HEALTH TEAM MEMBERS WHO HAD EXPERIENCED FINANCIAL TRAUMAS THROUGH NO FAULT OF THEIR OWN.
