EDUCATION/OUTREACH - CREATE AN UNDERSTANDING AND APPRECIATION OF KANSAS HISTORY THROUGH THE FOLLOWING: SCRIPTS FOR TOURS AT THE KANSAS MUSEUM OF HISTORY, THE 16-STATE OWNED HISTORIC SITES AND AT THE CAPITOL, DEVELOPING K-12 EDUCATIONAL CURRICULUM AND MATERIALS FOR KANSAS CLASSROOMS AND WORK ON SPECIAL EVENTS SUCH AS KANSAS DAY (MORE THAN 2,000 4TH & 7TH GRADERS VISIT THE MUSEUM), HISTORY AND ENVIRONMENTAL DAY.
LIBRARY & ARCHIVES - PROVIDE FUNDING FOR THE BASIC PROCESSINGACTIVITIES TO PRESERVE THOUSANDS OF NEWSPAPERS, DOCUMENTS ANDPHOTOGRAPHS IN THE COLLECTIONS OF THE STATE ARCHIVES & LIBRARY.
