THE SUSTAINING EVIDENCE DRIVEN ADVOCACY PROGRAM HAS ALLOWED THE CONTINUATION AND SCALE UP OF THE EMPOWERING EVIDENCE DRIVEN ADVOCACY PROGRAM IMPLEMENTED IN THE PREVIOUS YEARS. THROUGH THIS PROGRAM, IYAFP SUPPORTS THE EXPANSION OF SEXUAL AND REPRODUCTIVE HEALTH AND RIGHTS, AND SERVICES FOR YOUNG PEOPLE IN ETHIOPIA, UGANDA, KENYA, NIGERIA, AND BURKINA FASO. IYAFP ADVOCACY TEAMS IN THE AFOREMENTIONED COUNTRIES WORKED TO ADVANCE SPECIFIC RIGHTS THROUGH TARGETED ADVOCACY INITIATIVES AT THE LOCAL LEVEL.
GATES INSTITUTE GIFT - IYAFP IMPLEMENTS THE COUNTRY COORDINATORS PROGRAM, WHERE AROUND 66 COUNTRY COORDINATORS FROM DIFFERENT COUNTRIES ENGAGE IN A CAPACITY STRENGTHENING PROGRAM THAT ALLOWS THEM THE FURTHER DEVELOP THEIR LEADERSHIP SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE ON SEXUAL AND REPRODUCTIVE HEALTH, RIGHTS, AND JUSTICE, AND THEIR CONNECTIONS TO ADVANCE SRHRJ IN THEIR COUNTRIES. THROUGH THIS PROGRAM, IYAFP HAS BEEN ABLE TO PROVIDE SUPPORT FOR THE IMPLEMENTATION OF AROUND 10 IN-COUNTRY AND REGIONAL PROJECTS. ALSO, IYAFP HAS BEEN ABLE TO FINALIZE AND LAUNCH ITS NEW STRATEGIC PLAN.
FAMILY PLANNING 2030 - FP2030 IS THE SUCCESSOR TO FP2020, A GLOBAL INITIATIVE THAT RAN FROM 2012 TO 2020. OVER THE COURSE OF THOSE EIGHT YEARS, FP2020 EMERGED AS THE CENTRAL PLATFORM FOR FAMILY PLANNING, PROVIDING AN UNPARALLELED SPACE FOR STAKEHOLDERS TO CONVENE, ALIGN, SHARE KNOWLEDGE, BROKER RESOURCES, AND ADVANCE THE FIELD.
