SWAN EXPANDED ITS SOCIAL MEDIA/OUTREACH PROGRAMS TO THE SWAN COMMUNITY BY INIATING A NEW CREATIVE OUTREACH INITATIVE. WE HAVE INCREASED OUR SOCIAL MEDIA FOLLOWING ON ALL PLATFORMS TO INCLUDE OUR LINKEDIN, FACEBOOK, TWITTER AND TRIPLED OUR ENGAGEMENT ON INSTAGRAMIN 2020, SWAN CONTINUED ITS WORK WITH THE AMERICAN CIVIL LIBERTIES UNION (ACLU) TO ENSURE THE INTEGRATION OF WOMEN INTO GROUND COMBAT UNITS AND OCCUPATIONS GOES SMOOTHLY AND FAIRLY. TO THIS END, WE AMENDED OUR ONGOING LAWSUIT NOW CALLED SWAN V. ESPER TO EMPHASIZE THE PROBLEMS ASSOCIATED WITH THE MILITARY'S "LEADER'S FIRST" POLICY."
IN 2020, SWAN LAUNCHED ITS WOMEN VETERANS NEEDS PROJECT IN PARTNERSHIP WITH AN EXPERT RESEARCH SPECIALIST AND RESEARCH TEAM. UNIVERSITY OF ALABAMA IS TO CONDUCT A NATIONAL NEEDS ASSESSMENT FOCUSED ON MILITARY WOMEN AND WOMEN VETERANS.
IN 2020, THE SWAN RESOURCE PORTAL GREW TO INCLUDE MORE THAN 100 GENDER-SPECIFIC RESOURCES AND WAS ACCESSED OVER 3,000 TIMES. THE PORTAL INCLUDES RESOURCES RELATED TO GENDER EQUALITY, HOUSING, FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE, ALTERNATIVE THERAPIES, MENTAL HEALTH, AND MORE
WOMEN'S MILITARY COALITION - IN 2020, WE HAVE WORKED DILIGENTLY TO MAINTAIN THE MILITARY WOMEN'S COALITION AS AN IMPACTFUL AND VALUABLE COALITION FOR BOTH MEMBER ORGANIZATIONS AND MILITARY WOMEN ACROSS THE UNITED STATES. THE MWC NOW HAS OVER 25 GRASSROOTS WOMEN VETERANS ORGANIZATIONS FROM AROUND THE COUNTRY.SWAN IS THE FISCAL SPONSOR FOR THE MWC.
