BECAUSE OF THE HOW EASILY COVID SPREADS AMONGST THE AUDIENCE AND SINGERS, SIERRA MUSIC SOCIETY WAS NOT ABLE TO PERFORM ANY SERVICE ACCOMPLISHMENTS FOR 2021. SIERRA MUSIC SOCIETY DID APPLY FOR A GRANT FROM THE NEVADA ARTS COUNCIL IN THE AMOUNT OF $4,400 AND A GRANT FROM THE STATE OF NEVADA GOED PANDEMIC EMERGENCY TECHNICAL SUPPORT IN THE AMOUNT OF $20,000 TO BE ABLE TO KEEP OUR ORGANIZATION FROM GOING OUT OF BUSINESS DURING THE COVID PANDEMIC. SIERRA MUSIC SOCIETY USED THOSE GRANTS TO PAY RENT AND OUR INDEPENDENT CONTRACTORS (ARTISTIC DIRECTOR AND OFFICE MANAGER) DURING THE PANDEMIC).
