TO PROVIDE LEADERSHIP INSTRUCTION, TEAMWORK, AND HERITAGE, THAT WILL INCREASE QUALITY OF SERVICE FOR SAILORS AND THEIR FAMILIES. THIS IS ACCOMPLISHED THROUGH COMPREHENSIVE INTERACTIVE PROGRAMS AND SETTINGS FROM A POOL OF ACTIVE AND RETIRED MILITARY AS WELL AS COMMUNITY LEADERS.

CHIEF PETTY OFFICER PRIDE DAY IS A SINGLE DAY NETWORKING, MENTORING, AND TEAM BUILDING EVENT TO CELEBRATE THE LEADERSHIP AND HISTORY OF NAVY CHIEF PETTY OFFICER. THIS CELEBRATION ALSO ALLOWS THE SAN DIEGO CPO COMMUNITY TO PROVIDE A DAY OF SERVICE TO THE LOCAL COMMUNITY AS WELL AS TO WITNESS NAVY TEAMWORK AND LEADERSHIP DURING THIS PUBLIC EVENT WITH OVER 3,000 PARTICIPANTS. ACTIVE DUTY, RETIRED, AND GUESTS ARE ALL WELCOME. IN 2021 CPO PRIDE DAY RETURNED AS A FACE-TO-FACE EVENT WITH 1967 PEOPLE ATTENDING.
THE FOUNDRY CLASS TEACHES LEADERSHIP DEVELOPMENT WITH FOCUS AREAS OF SPEAK,SHARE, AND SHADOW. TWO FACE-TO-FACE PROGRAMS ARE HELD ANNUALLY FOR 120 ENLISTED E6 STUDENTS (60 PER CLASS) AND 26 SENIOR ENLISTED MENTORS (13 PER CLASS) BENEFITED FROM THIS BIANNUAL PROGRAM THAT CHANGED THEIR LEADERSHIP HABITS AND POSITIVELY IMPACTED THEIR LIFE AND THE LIVES OF THOSE THEY LEAD. 3 CLASSES WITH 432 STUDENTS AND 76 MENTORS WAS HELD OVER ZOOM IN 2021.
