COMMUNITY PERFORMANCE: AIMUSIC.US TEACHING ARTISTS AND STUDENT MUSICIANS PRESENTED 22 COMMUNITY SERVICE PERFORMANCES IN SAN FRANCISCO BAY AREA. ALL THE PERFORMANCES WITH UNIQUE HERITAGE CHINESE INSTRUMENTAL MUSIC WERE FREE TO THE PUBLIC.
MUSIC CLASS: WE PROVIDE A MUSIC EDUCATION PROGRAM FOR ABOUT 90 STUDENTS, MOST OF WHOM ARE AGED 6 TO 18. WE OFFER 30 GROUP CLASSES EACH WEEK FOR FOUR LEVELS OF STUDENTS, FOCUSING ON PLAYING CHINESE INSTRUMENTS. MOST CLASSES ARE IN-PERSON, WHILE SOME ARE CONDUCTED ONLINE.
CULTURAL EXCHANGE ACTIVITIES: WE HELD OUR 8TH AIMUSIC FESTIVAL AT THE MCAFEE PERFORMING ARTS CENTER IN SARATOGA IN MAY. INTERNATIONAL ARTISTS FROM SWEDEN, CHINA, AND OTHER REGIONS WERE INVITED TO PERFORM AT THE FESTIVAL. WE PREMIERED A HALF- HOUR LONG PEKING OPERA SUITE.
