INGREDIENTS FOR EDUCATION ("IFE") IS A NON-PROFIT ORGANIZATION CREATED TO PROMOTE HEALTH AND WELLNESS BEST PRACTICES IN SCHOOLS AND COMMUNITIES ACROSS THE NATION WITH THE AIM OF PREVENTING CHILDHOOD OBESITY THROUGH THE USE OF MULTIMEDIA AND TECHNOLOGY PROGRAMS. IFE BRINGS TOGETHER TECHNOLOGY, HEALTH, EDUCATION AND MEDIA EXPERTS SERVING ON IFE'S BOARD AND ADVISORY BOARD TO SUPPORT IFE'S GROWTH, SUSTAINABILITY AND ORGANIZATIONAL DEVELOPMENT. IFE DISSEMINATES MEDIA PROGRAMS THAT ENGAGE, INFORM AND INSPIRE LIFELONG POSITIVE HEALTH, WELLNESS AND EXERCISE CHOICES. IFE'S PRIMARY PHILANTHROPIC ACTIVITY CONSISTS OF PROVIDING FREE DISTRIBUTION OF KICKINNUTRITION.TV (KNTV), A GROUND-BREAKING DIGITAL ONLINE HEALTH-NUTRITION EDUCATION CURRICULUM AND PLATFORM DESIGNED TO EDUCATE, ENTERTAIN AND EMPOWER YOUTH (GRADES 4-8) TO ADOPT HEALTHY NUTRITION HABITS AND A PHYSICALLY ACTIVE LIFESTYLE DURING FORMATIVE YEARS IN TITLE 1 SCHOOLS (WHERE GREATER THAN 40% OF THE CHILDREN RECEIVE FREE AND REDUCED LUNCH) AND IN COMMUNITY ORGANIZATIONS TO PARTICIPATE IN COMMUNITY EVENTS RELATED TO HEALTH, NUTRITION AND WELLNESS. IFE ALSO CONDUCTS RIGOROUS RESEARCH TO EVALUATE THE QUANTITATIVE IMPACT OF ITS PROGRAMS THROUGH PARTNERSHIPS WITH BOSTON UNIVERSITY, HARVARD SCHOOL OF PUBLIC HEALTH, TUFTS FRIEDMAN SCHOOL OF NUTRITION SCIENCE AND POLICY AND INDEPENDENT RESEARCH FIRMS. IFE WILL ALSO PRODUCE NEW DIGITAL CONTENT TO SUPPORT IMPLEMENTATION IN TITLE 1 SCHOOLS AND TO INSPIRE AND EMPOWER STUDENTS IN UNDERSERVED COMMUNITIES TO LEAD HEALTHIER LIVES. IFE'S PHILOSOPHY IS THAT "EMPOWERMENT BEGINS IN THE KITCHEN, AND THUS ENCOURAGES CHILDREN TO HARNESS THE POWER OF HEALTHY EATING AND WELLNESS TO BECOME ACTIVE POSITIVE ROLE MODELS AMONG THEIR FRIENDS, AT HOME, IN THEIR COMMUNITIES AND ONLINE. IFE'S FUTURE STRATEGIC GOALS INCLUDE PROFESSIONALIZING THE INGREDIENTS FOR EDUCATION ORGANIZATION AND FUNDRAISING TO SCALE KNTV PROGRAM REACH NATIONALLY.
