Part 3 - Line 4a
EPIC EXPERIENCE PERFORMS AND OFFERS PROGRAMS TO ENHANCE AND ENCOURAGE ADULT CANCER SURVIVORS AND THRIVERS TO LIVE BEYOND CANCER. OUR PRIMARY PROGRAM IS OUR WEEK-LONG CAMP IN THE COLORADO ROCKIES WHERE WE HOST SURVIVORS AND THRIVERS FROM ACROSS THE US OVER THE AGE OF 18. FUNDRAISING AND OUTREACH CONTINUE TO HELP US REACH MORE SURVIVORS AND THRIVERS EACH YEAR. WE HELD OUR ANNUAL HEARTS AND HOPE GALA VIRTUALLY IN MAY AND HELD OUR RAFTOBERFEST EVENT IN AUGUST WHERE WE ENJOYED RAFTING THE COLORADO RIVER. PARTICIPATION WAS LIGHTER THAN USUAL DUE TO FLOODING IN THE CANYON WHERE WE RAFT AND MADE ROADS HARD TO GET THROUGH. DUE TO THE GLOBAL PANDEMIC OF COVID, WE ONLY HELD 1 CAMP AND PLACED THE REST OF OUR WEEK LONG IN PERSON PROGRAMS ON HOLD. WE DID HOLD 5 REGIONAL 1 DAY PROGRAMS HOSTED BY LOCAL ALUMNI IN NEW JERSEY, KENTUCKY AND COLORADO FOR SURVIVORS, THRIVERS AND CAREGIVERS. THESE PROGRAMS WERE ALL HELD OUTSIDE AND REQUIRED ALL TO BE VACCINATED. WE ALSO CONTINUED OUR VIRTUAL PROGRAMS WHICH INCLUDED, WORKOUT CLASSES, ZOOM MEETUPS. WE ALSO CREATED A PODCAST, CAMPFIRES OF HOPE TO SHARE STORIES OF SURVIVAL AND SUPPORT. WE CONTINUED TO SUPPORT SURVIVORS AND THRIVERS THROUGH SHARING OTHER PROGRAMS AVAILABLE VIRTUALLY.
