FUVUSA SUPPORTS INSTITUTIONAL INNOVATION IN VIETNAMESE HIGHER EDUCATION. WE PURSUE THIS MISSION PRIMARILY THROUGH OUR PARTICIPATION IN THE FULBRIGHT UNIVERSITY VIETNAM (FUV) INITIATIVE, VIETNAM'S FIRST PRIVATE, NONPROFIT UNIVERSITY. FUV IS BEING BUILT ON THE PRINCIPLES OF TRANSPARENCY, ACCOUNTABILITY, ACADEMIC FREEDOM, AND MERITOCRACY. FUVUSA CONTRIBUTES TO FUV BY SERVING AS THE UNIVERSITY'S HIGHEST GOVERNING AUTHORITY, AS A "SYSTEMS INTEGRATOR" CONNECTING FUV WITH GLOBAL KNOWLEDGE NETWORKS AND PARTNERS, AND AS A MOBILIZER OF FINANCIAL RESOURCES FOR THE PROJECT. FUVUSA STEWARDS MUCH OF THE FEDERAL FUNDING THAT IS CATALYZING FUV'S INITIAL GROWTH.
