THE CONTRIBUTIONS AND COMMUNITY FUNDRAISERS PROVIDE SUPPORT FOR THE FOUNDATION FOR CANCER CARE IN PROVIDING SERVICES SUCH AS SUPPORT GROUPS, EDUCATION, AWARENESS AND SCREENING PROGRAMS, COMPLIMENTARY HEALTH SERVICES, AND FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE FOR PURCHASES OF WIGS, AND OTHER PROSTHETIC DEVICES, TRANSPORTATION SERVICES TO AND FROM ANY TYPE OF CANCER TREATMENT, MEALS, LODGING,AND GENERAL ASSISTANCE TO CANCER PATIENTS WHO ARE UNDERGOING TREATMENT. APPROXIMATELY 50 PATIENTS RECEIVED TRANSPORTATION ASSISTANCE, AND APPROXIMATELY 60 CANCER PATIENTS RECEIVED FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE FOR CO-PAYMENTS FOR CANCER TREATMENTS, MEDICAL SUPPLIES, GROCERY CARDS AND FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE FOR UTILITY BILLS.
