INNER EXPLORER, A NATIONAL NON-PROFIT ORGANIZATION, IS COMMITTED TO BRINGING MINDFULNESS PRACTICES INTO EVERY CLASSROOM EVERY DAY TO REDUCE THE BARRIERS TO LEARNING AND TEACHING, SO OUR YOUNG PEOPLE, FAMILIES, AND COMMUNITIES THRIVE.

INNER EXPLORER BRINGS MINDFULNESS TO CHILDREN AND THEIR FAMILIES BOTH AT SCHOOL AND IN THE HOME. SPECIFICALLY, THE MODEL, BASED ON THE WORLD-RENOWNED MINDFULNESS BASED STRESS REDUCTION (MBSR) PROTOCOL, INCLUDES FOUR PROGRAM LEVELS FROM PRE-K TO 12TH GRADE, EACH WITH 180 AUDIO-GUIDED MINDFULNESS PRACTICES, OFFERED IN BOTH ENGLISH AND SPANISH. EACH DAY, STUDENTS ARE GUIDED THROUGH A 5-10 MINUTE MINDFULNESS PRACTICE, DURING WHICH TIME TEACHERS ARE ENCOURAGED TO PARTICIPATE ALONGSIDE THEIR STUDENTS.THE FOUR INNER EXPLORER PROGRAM MODELS, PRE-K-KINDERGARTEN (EXPLORING ME), ELEMENTARY SCHOOL (EXPLORING ORIGINALITY), MIDDLE SCHOOL (EXPLORING POTENTIAL) AND HIGH SCHOOL (EXPLORING RELEVANCE), ARE EACH DESIGNED FOR THE RESPECTIVE DEVELOPMENTAL STAGE TO MEET STUDENTS WHERE THEY ARE AT. ALL FOLLOW THE SAME SEQUENCE, BEGINNING WITH BREATHING AND RELAXATION EXERCISES AND GRADUALLY PROGRESS TO AWARENESS OF SENSES, THOUGHTS AND EMOTIONS, THE ENVIRONMENT, COMPASSION, AND CONNECTION TO ALL.
