MIYAMOTO GLOBAL DISASTER RELIEF IS 501(C)(3) NONPROFIT CORPORATION THAT PROVIDES DISASTER MITIGATION RESPONSE, RELIEF AND RECONSTRUCTION SERVICES FOLLOWING NATURAL DISASTER. IT IS THE ONLY NONPROFIT STRUCTURAL ENGINEERING ORGANIZATION IN THE WORLD THAT PROVIDES EXPERTISE AT THE CRITICAL PHASE OF DISASTER. MIYAMOTO RELIEF WORKS WITH NATIONAL GOVERNMENTS, THE UNITED NATIONS, AND NONGOVERNMENT ORGANIZATION (NGOS) TO STRATEGIZE AND IMPLEMENT DISASTER MITIGATION PROGRAMS.

ON AUGUST 4TH, A CHEMICAL BLAST DESTROYED PARTS OF THE PORT OF BEIRUT, LEBANON. OVER 6,000 PEOPLE WERE INJURED, AND 200 LIVES LOST. WITHIN JUST A SMALL 5 KM RADIUS, OVER US $3 BILLION IN DAMAGES HAVE BEEN REPORTED MAINLY TO HOUSES. PLEASE JOIN US IN RAISING FUNDS TO ENSURE FAMILIES CAN RETURN TO SAFE HOMES. AMIDST AN ONGOING FINANCIAL CRISIS IN LEBANON, CONFLICT FROM NEIGHBORING SYRIA AND GLOBAL PANDEMIC MANY VICTIMS CANNOT AFFORD SIMPLE REPAIRS. WITH SHATTERED WINDOWS AND DOORS BEING AMONG THE MOST COMMON DAMAGES, EVEN SMALL DONATIONS MEAN THAT A FAMILY CAN RETURN HOME.
PROGRAMS IN HAITI, ECUADOR, & NEPAL
AFGHANISTAN FACES A COMPLEX ARRAY OF CRISES, INCLUDING WAR, POVERTY, AND NATURAL DISASTERS. IN THE PAST COUPLE OF YEARS, COMMUNITIES ACROSS AFGHANISTAN EXPERIENCED SIGNIFICANT DISPLACEMENT DUE TO FLASH FLOODS, DROUGHTS, AND EARTHQUAKES. ACCORDING TO THE UNITED NATIONS, 24.4 MILLION AFGHAN PEOPLE REQUIRE HUMANITARIAN ASSISTANCE AND RESILIENT INFRASTRUCTURE.DONATIONS WILL HELP PROVIDE AFGHAN FAMILIES WITH THE SUPPORT THEY NEED TO REBUILD THEIR HOMES AND THEIR LIVES, CREATE MORE RESILIENT COMMUNITIES IN AFGHANISTAN AND PROVIDE ESSENTIAL AID TO THOSE AFFECTED BY THESE DISASTERS.
MIYAMOTO RELIEF UKRAINE HAS ALREADY INVESTED 3 MILLION UAH (80,000 USD) IN CONSTRUCTION WORK AND MATERIALS, SUCCESSFULLY RESTORING A KINDERGARTEN IN ZAHAL'TSI AND A RESIDENTIAL BUILDING IN BORODYANKA.IN MARCH 2022, BORODYANKA, LIKE IRPIN AND BUCHA, FACED OCCUPATION AND EXTENSIVE DESTRUCTION. THIS DEVASTATION WAS NOT LIMITED TO BORODYANKA ALONE BUT EXTENDED TO SURROUNDING VILLAGES, SUCH AS ZAGALTSI, WHICH IS HOME TO OVER 2,000 RESIDENTS. ONE POIGNANT EXAMPLE IS A KINDERGARTEN LOCATED AT NEZALEZHNOSTI STREET #121 G, WHICH EXPERIENCED SIGNIFICANT DAMAGE FROM A SHELL STRIKE. AS A RESULT, 70 CHILDREN AND THEIR FAMILIES WERE LEFT WITHOUT ACCESS TO A CRUCIAL PRESCHOOL EDUCATION AND DEVELOPMENT CENTER.TO SAVE THE BUILDING FROM FURTHER RUIN, MIYAMOTO RELIEF UKRAINE ENLISTED THE HELP OF EXPERT UKRAINIAN ENGINEERS FROM MIYAMOTO INTERNATIONAL UKRAINE. TOGETHER, THEY REPAIRED THE KINDERGARTEN'S ROOF AT A COST OF OVER UAH 350,000. SUBSEQUENTLY, LOCAL AUTHORITIES ARRANGED FOR THE INSTALLATION OF WINDOWS AND DOORS.
