Part 3 - Line 4a

MAASAI DEVELOPMENT PROJECT ENGAGES IN A RANGE OF EDUCATIONAL, RELIGIOUS, AND RESCUE ACTIVITIES IN KENYA. THOSE ACTIVITIES INCLUDE THE EDUCATION AND RESCUE OF YOUNG GIRLS FROM FORCED MARRIAGES AND OTHERABUSE MAINTAINING AND ENHANCING PROGRAMS FOR DEVELOPING AND SUPPORTING LAY PASTORS LITERACY TEACHERS AND PROGRAMS FOR WIDOWS AND MAINTAINING, IMPROVING, AND EXPANDING BUILDING FACILITIES TO FURTHER THOSE ACTIVITIES.


MAASAI DEVELOPMENT PROJECT EDUCATION CENTRE A HOME FOR GIRLS THAT HAVE BEEN RESCUED FROM FORCED EARLY MARRIAGES AND/OR FEMALE GENITAL MUTILATION. RESCUE AGES ARE FROM 6 - 13 THESE GIRLS ARE NOT ONLY PROVIDED A SAFE HOME IN WHICH TO LIVE BUT AN EDUCATION THROUGH UNIVERSITY LEVEL. MDP WORKS WITH THE CHILDRENS SERVICE DEPARTMENT IN KENYA AND THE LOCAL CHIEF TO ENSURE THE SAFETY OF THE CHILD. THE COMMUNITY FOOD OUTREACH PROGRAM FED OVER 2,000 MEMBERS OF THE COMMUNITY DURING THE COVID-19 LOCKDOWN.
