LOW INCOME HOME ENERGY ASSISTANCE PROGRAM (LIHEAP) - FUNDED BY THE US DEPARTMENT OF HEALTH AND HUMAN SERVICES THROUGH THE IOWA DEPARTMENT OF HUMAN RIGHTS. THE PROGRAM IS ESTABLISHED TO AID LOW-INCOME FAMILIES AND INDIVIDUALS IN PAYING THEIR HOUSEHOLD HEATING COSTS. APPROXIMATELY 13,048 LOW-INCOME HOUSEHOLDS (31,403 INDIVIDUALS) BENEFITED.
LOCAL PROGRAMS - THE ORGANIZATION ADMINISTERS A VARIETY OF LOCAL PROGRAMS IN PURSUIT OF ITS MISSION, INCLUDING THREE FOOD PANTRIES. 16,826 LOW INCOME INDIVIDUALS IN 6,051 HOUSEHOLDS BENEFITED.
