WHATT WAS A CO-SPONSOR OF A TRUCKEE-TAHOE REGIONAL HOUSING NEEDS ASSESSMENT ALONG WITH PLACER COUNTY, TOWN OF TRUCKEE AND TAHOE TRUCKEE COMMUNITY FOUNDATION(TTCF). THIS WAS THE FIRST TIME THAT THE GOVERNMENTAL JURISDICTIONS WORKED COOPERATIVELY TO DETERMINE HOUSING AFFORDABILITY AND NEED FOR THE REGION AS A WHOLE, RATHER THAN JUST WITHIN THEIR PARTICULAR AREAS OF CONCERN. TTCF BROUGHT THE PARTIES TOGETHER AND WHATTS FINANCIAL PARTICIPATION HELPED FUND THE STUDYS SHORTFALL AND ENCOURAGED THE JURISDICTIONS TO RAISE THEIR LEVEL OF CONTRIBUTION.
