PINE HABILITATION AND SUPPORTED EMPLOYMENT, INC (PHASE-INDUSTRIES): PHASE-INDUSTRIES PROVIDES SERVICES TO STUDENTS AND ADULTS EXPERIENCING AN INTELLECTUAL/DEVELOPMENTAL DISABILITY, TRAUMATIC BRAIN INJURY, AND/OR SEVERE AND PERSISTENT MENTAL ILLNESS IN EAST-CENTRAL MN. EMPLOYMENT AND DAY SERVICES FOCUS ON COMMUNITY-INTEGRATED SUPPORT, EMPLOYMENT SKILL DEVELOPMENT AND EMPLOYMENT PLACEMENT TO ASSIST PARTICIPANTS IN ACHIEVING THEIR OPTIMUM POTENTIAL AND GROWTH. INDIVIDUAL PROGRAMS ARE PERSON-CENTERED AND DESIGNED TO FIT EACH PERSON'S NEEDS AND GOALS. ASSISTING PARTICIPANTS IN FINDING AND RETAINING EMPLOYMENT IN THE COMMUNITY IS ONE OF THE MAJOR GOALS IN THIS PROGRAM. PHASE-INDUSTRIES OPERATES SEVERAL MICRO INDUSTRIES, SUCH AS RETAIL OUTLETS (HERITAGE BARNWOOD, HERITAGE THRIFT STORE, HERITAGE HOME CREATIONS), AND PHASE LAWN SERVICES. THESE WERE DEVELOPED FOR THE EXPRESS PURPOSE OF PROVIDING EMPLOYMENT TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE FOR PROGRAM PARTICIPANTS. THESE PROGRAMS NOT ONLY DIRECTLY SUPPORT PROGRAM PARTICIPANTS IN DEVELOPING AND EXPANDING NEEDED SKILLS TO ATTAIN EMPLOYMENT, BUT SERVE AS AN OVERALL RESOURCE TO THE BROADER COMMUNITY. PHASE-INDUSTRIES SUPPORTED APPROXIMATELY 230 PROGRAM PARTICIPANTS IN MA WAIVER PROGRAMS (DAY TRAINING & HABILITATION, PREVOCATIONAL, STRUCTURED DAY, EMPLOYMENT SUPPORT, EMPLOYMENT EXPLORATION, EMPLOYMENT DEVELOP). APPROXIMATELY NINE OUT OF TEN INDIVIDUALS SERVED MET OR MADE PROGRESS TOWARD THEIR INDIVIDUALIZED OUTCOMES & GOALS. PHASE-INDUSTRIES SUPPORTED APPROXIMATELY 100 PROGRAM PARTICIPANTS IN VOCATIONAL REHABILITATION SERVICES AND TRANSITION SERVICES. APPROXIMATELY SEVENTY PERCENT OF INDIVIDUALS SERVED IN EMPLOYMENT-FOCUSED SERVICES WERE PLACED IN COMPETITIVE EMPLOYMENT. SERVICE DISRUPTIONS DUE TO COVID-19 CONTINUED INTO AND THROUGHOUT 2021, INCLUDING REGULATION-GUIDED CAPACITY LIMITATIONS, AS WELL AS WORKFORCE AND PROGRAM PARTICIPANT ABSENCES DUE TO COVID-19 RELATED QUARANTINING AND ISOLATION PROTOCOLS. NONETHELESS, ACCESS TO SERVICES WAS A TOP PRIORITY FOR THE ORGANIZATION THROUGHOUT THE YEAR, AND WITH THAT, PARTICIPANT CENSUS CONTINUALLY AND STEADILY INCREASED DURING THE ENTIRE YEAR.
